The holidays are fast approaching, which means increased business and an even busier schedule for your business.
Prepare your floral point of sale system for a smooth and successful holiday season by following these tips:
POS Checklist
Backups
- Verify Backups are running successfully
- Rotate backup devices regularly
Additional POS Equipment / Software Setup
Plan and schedule the following point of sale hardware changes early:
- Add workstations
- Set up ticket printers
- Set up receipt printers
- Confirm delivery areas
- Make changes to network hardware / router configuration
Floral Stationary / Office Supplies
Order any necessary office supplies:

Order Refusal Codes
Unlike other floral service providers, Teleflora doesn’t penalize you for refusing orders. Simply reject orders in a timely manner and we’ll take care of the rest.

Delivery Confirmations
Great customer service makes for a successful holiday. Sending timely delivery confirmations is a great way to guarantee customer satisfaction. Confirmation deadline is 9pm (local time) the day of the delivery.
Ensure on time delivery of flower arrangements and gifts with Teleflora’s eDelivery Mobile Management app.
Flexible Codification
Flexible Codifications are a convenient way to manage your floral delivery service areas for busy holiday schedules. This allows you to add and delete service area zip codes that fit your shop’s holiday availability.
The Holiday Delivery Tab will be active during the following dates:
Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 14th through Thursday, November 28th
Christmas: Wednesday, December 11th through Wednesday, December 25th

Email Marketing
Hand delivered flowers are one special way your customers show they care. Email Marketing is one of the most effective ways to reach these customers and bring more holiday orders to your shop.
Guarantee on time delivery by reminding customers to send holiday flower orders at least two weeks prior to the holiday.
With your POS system, you can email a few different ways:
- Customize holiday templates available within our POS email marketing feature.
- Download your custom list to send emails through a third-party provider.
- Personalize your own emails through eFlorist’s free email marketing program.
